-Vanderbilt improved to 10-7 overall and 2-3 in SEC play after the 71-63 win over Alabama.
-The Commodores now hold the series lead over the Crimson Tide, 68-67.
-Vanderbilt used the starting lineup of Luke Kornet, Jeff Roberson, Damian Jones, Wade Baldwin IV, and Riley LaChance for the second time and now have 2-0 record with that lineup.

Team
-The Commodores had three players score in double figures – Riley LaChance (18), Jeff Roberson (16), and Damian Jones (13).
-Alabama outshot the Commodores, 48.1% to 40.8%, and out rebounded Vanderbilt, 39-29. Vanderbilt is now 2-6 when outshot and 3-6 when out rebounded.
-Vanderbilt committed only seven turnovers, compared to 12 for Alabama. The Commodores outscored the Crimson Tide, 18-7, in points off of turnovers.
-Vanderbilt was 22-36 from the charity stripe (61.1%), while the Tide as 7-20 (35.0%). The 36 free throw attempts was a season high for the Commodores.
-The Commodores had 14 assists on 20 made baskets.
-Vanderbilt was 9-16 from behind-the-arc for a 56.3% clip. It was the second consecutive game of shooting 50% or better and VU’s fourth game of the season. The Commodores are 16-29 in their last two games from three (55.1%).
-63 of the team’s 71 points were scored by Vanderbilt’s starting five.

Individual
-Riley LaChance scored a season-high 18 points on a season-best five made threes.
-Jeff Roberson registered his third double-double of the season with a 16-point, 11-rebound performance. He also added a career-high five assists and two steals.
-Damian Jones scored 13 points, with 12 of those coming in the second half.
