Starting Lineup
– Freshman guard Kady Schrann, sophomore guard Christina Foggie, sophomore guard Jasmine Lister, junior forward Tiffany Clarke, and sophomore center Stephanie Holzer.
– Vandy improves to 2-1 with this starting lineup.
– Career Starts: Schrann 20, Foggie 28, Lister 53, Clarke 38, and Holzer 21.

Postgame Notes
– This was the 39th meeting between the two teams. Vanderbilt now holds a 23-16 edge in the series, and is 12-3 against the Lady Tigers in Memorial Gym. VU has now won the last three tilts.
– Vanderbilt Head Coach Melanie Balcomb improves to 394-193 in her career and 231-89 at Vanderbilt.
– Vanderbilt is now 14-1 at Memorial Gym this season.
– VU improves to 12-0 when scoring 70 or more points.
– The `Dores totaled 80 or more points for the eighth time this season, improving to 8-0 when doing so.
– Vandy led for the entirety of the game, doing so for the first time since leading the entire way in a 99-84 win over UT-Martin on December 7, 2011.
– The Commodores outrebounded LSU 38-34, improving to a perfect 15-0 when recording more boards than their opponent.
– VU finished with 14 turnovers to LSU’s 15, keeping the `Dores undefeated, at 12-0, when committing the same or fewer turnovers than their opponent.

Individual Notes
– Schrann led the Commodores with a career-high 29 points, going 11-15 from the floor. It marked the seventh time in her first season that she has scored in double-figures, and the second time totaling 20 or more points.
– Holzer added 18 points in the game, scoring in double-figures for the 11th time this year and the 26th time in her career.
– Leading the `Dores, and tying a career-best, with 15 rebounds, Holzer recorded her third double-double of the season, and the seventh of her career. She has now grabbed double-digit rebounds in five games this year, and nine times in her career.
– Foggie finished with 14 points, all of which came in the second half.
– Lister chipped in with 12 points and a game-high seven assists. It was the sixth time this season that she has recorded seven helpers or more.

First Half Notes
– Schrann knocked down a three-pointer 2:30 into the game to open the scoring. VU is currently 10-1 when scoring first.
– Vanderbilt scored five straight points on a three by Lister and a jumper by Schrann to take a 25-19 lead late in the half.
– The `Dores held onto the six point lead, taking a 33-27 advantage into the break. VU improves to 16-0 on the season when leading at halftime.
– Foggie was held scoreless for the first time in a first half since last year’s final game against Louisville on March 20, 2011.

Second Half Notes
– Vandy scored the first 10 points of the second half, taking a 43-27 lead by the 16:47 mark in the period.
– LSU tallied eight straight points to cut the Vandy lead to six, at 47-41 with 13:50 to play in the second half.
– From the 6:24 mark to 5:27 remaining in the game, VU scored seven straight points to take a 73-56 lead over the Lady Tigers.
– Vandy coasted to the 81-72 win over LSU.
