Team Notes
– Vanderbilt won its first Super Regional series and advances to its first College World Series.
– This is Vanderbilt’s 10th all-time appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
– This is Vanderbilt’s third appearance in the NCAA Super Regional.
– Vanderbilt has scored in the first inning in three of its five postseason games this season … The Commodores have scored first in all five of its postseason games.
– Oregon State’s run in the first inning was the first time Vanderbilt had surrendered a run in the first since May 8 at Kentucky when the Commodores also scored two in the top of the first before UK answered with one.

Individual Notes
– Aaron Westlake’s three home run game was the first of his career and first for a Commodore since Jeff Martin in 1991 … Westlake now has a team-leading 17 home runs … Each of Westlake’s home runs came with a runner on base and came in the first, sixth and eighth inning.
– Westlake’s six RBI were a career high and the most by a Commodore this season.
Anthony Gomez had hits in his first four at bats … It was Gomez’s fifth four-hit game of the season … Gomez had a two-run single in the top of the sixth that gave Vanderbilt a 5-2 lead.
Conrad Gregor hit his ninth double of the year and his second in as many games.
Will Clinard picked up his second win of the year in relief of Grayson Garvin.
