Bancorp South Intercollegiate concludes for MG

JACKSON, Miss. – The Vanderbilt men’s golf team finished the Bancorp South Intercollegiate at the Reunion Golf and Country Club in Madison, Miss., in 12th place with a final total of 597 (298-299) at the rain-shortened event. The scheduled 54-hole event was cut to 36 holes due to severe weather on Monday evening.

Senior Ryan Haselden led the way for Vanderbilt, firing an even-par, 144, to finish in a tie for 12th place on the individual leaderboard. Junior Adam Hofmann was next for the Commodores, ending the tournament with a three-over, 147 (74-73).

South Alabama claimed the team title with a final score of 571 (285-286), six strokes in front of Southern Miss, who ended the tournament with a 577 (290-287). Phillipp Westermann claimed medalist honors with a 138 (68-70), which tied a 36-hole individual low.
