Play suspended at BancorpSouth Intercollegiate

JACKSON, Miss. – The Vanderbilt men’s golf team saw its second trip around the Reunion Golf and Country Club cut short due to tornado warnings in the Madison, Miss., area at the Bancorp South Intercollegiate. The Commodores fired a 298 in the first round and the team was on holes five through nine in their second round before the storms set in.

Senior Ryan Haselden leads the Commodores and is in a tie for third place. Haselden shot a first-round 70 and is even through six holes of his second round. Adam Hofmann is next for Vanderbilt after shooting a 74 in his first round and is one-under par through nine holes in the second round.

South Alabama leads the tournament, and is four-under par. Central Arkansas and Southeastern Louisiana are both at even par. Phillip Westermann of Southeastern Louisiana leads the individual leaderboard at five-under par. South Alabama’s Lane Hulse is second at four under par.

The rain-shortened tournament will conclude on Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m. Central time.
