Second-Round Results

SEA ISLAND, Ga. – Freshman Mills Rendell fired a four-over par, 74, on Saturday to lead the Commodores at the 2011 SEC Men’s Championship at the Sea Island Golf Club’s Seaside Course. The Commodores are in 11th place at the event with a two-round score of 607 (299-308).

Rendell, in only his second tournament of the season, is in a tie for 37th and leads all Commodore players. Junior Adam Hofmann fired a second-round 75 and is next for Vanderbilt with a 152 (77-75, T-44).

Florida leads the tournament after tallying a second-round low of 282 on Saturday and has a two-round score of 567 (285-282), six strokes better than second-place Tennessee. John Peterson of LSU is the individual leader at one-under par, 139 (68-71), one stroke better than Wesley Bryan of South Carolina and Phillip Choi and Andres Echavarria of Florida.

The final round of the 2011 SEC Championship concludes on Sunday.
