MG in 6th after first day of Palmetto Invite

AIKEN, S.C. – Ryan Haselden and Adam Hofmann each shot a one-under par, 139, to tie for fifth place individually after the first day of the Cleveland Golf Palmetto Invitational in Aiken, S.C. As a team, Vanderbilt is in sixth place with a team total of 575 (291-284).

The Commodores played 36 holes on Monday, and will finish up the tournament with 18 holes on Tuesday at the par-70 Palmetto Golf Club. The event is hosted by the University of South Carolina Aiken.

The University of Alabama leads the field after firing a five-over par, 565, four strokes better than Liberty University.

Individually, the Crimson Tide’s Bud Cauley leads the tournament with an eight-under par, 132 (66-66). Cauley leads Liberty’s Preston Dembowiak and Clemson’s Crawford Reeves by six strokes.
