STATESBORO, Ga. – Vanderbilt junior Adam Hofmann led the Commodore contingent at the Schenkel Invitational over the weekend, finishing in a tie for 36th with a final total of 221 (76-69-76). As a team, the Commodores finished in a tie for 13th with Kentucky with a final total of 896 (302-287-307).

Trey DelGreco was next for Vanderbilt with a final total of 222 (74-71-77), which tied him for 40th place. The Commodores counted a 76 from Hofmann and Ryan Haselden, a 77 from DelGreco, and 78 from Charlie Grace and Charlie Ewing.

“The conditions were tougher today,” said Vanderbilt head coach Tom Shaw. “The temperature was cooler and the wind was blowing a little harder.

“We all had some holes today where we posted some big scores,” continued Shaw. “We’ll get some things figured out and we’ll be ready for the next one. We’ll learn from it and move on.”

Auburn claimed the team championship on the first playoff hole against Florida on Sunday. Both teams finished with a final score of 848. Florida’s Bank Vongvanij led wire-to-wire to claim medalist honors with a 207 (66-68-73).
