Starting Lineups

– Vanderbilt started senior Jermaine Beal, sophomore Brad Tinsley and sophomore Jeffery Taylor at guard, sophomore Andre Walker started at forward and junior A.J. Ogilvy started at center.

– It was the 14th time this season and sixth straight game that Vanderbilt used this starting lineup. Vanderbilt is 11-2 with this starting lineup.

– Taylor made his 51st consecutive start and has started every game of his career … Tinsley made the 48th start of his career and 31st in a row, starting every game since Jan. 31, 2009 at Auburn … After having his streak of 70-straight starts snapped against Western Kentucky on Dec. 11, Beal made the 85th of his career … The start by Walker was the 20th of his career and 19th in 20 games this season … Before this season, his only start was against MTSU on Nov. 24, 2009 when he suffered a season-ending knee injury … Ogilvy started for the eighth game in a row after not starting the previous four games … Ogilvy made his 15th start of the season and 76th of his career. – Kentucky won the opening tip and scored the first basket of the game. Vanderbilt is 9-1 on the season when losing the opening tip and 9-2 when their opponent scores the first basket of the game.

– The streak continues… With Jermaine Beal’s three-pointer at the 19:15 mark of the first half, Vanderbilt extended its consecutive games streak with at least one three-pointer made to 749… VU is one of three schools (UNLV and Princeton) that have made at least one three-pointer in every game played since the three-point line was established for the 1986-87 season … Only UNLV (757) has a longer streak than Vanderbilt. – The loss snaps Vanderbilt’s 10-game win streak, which dated back to December 11th. 16 wins is still the longest win streak for the Commodores, a streak also snapped by the Kentucky Wildcats (Jan. 2007).

A.J. Ogilvy followed Beal with 12 points and now has 1,301 for his career, good for 21st on the career scoring list.

Jeffery Taylor, Andre Walker, and John Jenkins each contributed 10 points. Walker also grabbed seven boards.
