MT begins play at Bulldog Scramble

ATHENS, Ga. – Two members of Vanderbilt’s men’s tennis team wrapped up play at the D’Novo/ITA All-American Championships Friday morning, while four other Commodores were just beginning play at the three-day Bulldog Scramble hosted by Georgia.

Competing on the first day of the event, Vanderbilt notched three wins in singles play and one in doubles. The event is Vanderbilt’s second at Georgia this fall. Vanderbilt is one of four schools competing this weekend. Other teams with players competing are Georgia, Clemson and Georgia Tech.

Earning wins for the Commodores on Friday were Charlie Jones, Bryant Salcedo and Alex DiValerio in singles play. Vijay Paul and Salcedo also earned a win in doubles competition.

Vanderbilt continues play at the Bulldog Scramble on Saturday.
