Starting Lineups
– Vanderbilt started junior Jermaine Beal, sophomore A.J. Ogilvy, and freshmen Steve Tchiengang, Jeffery Taylor, and Brad Tinsley. This marks the 10th time Vanderbilt has used this starting lineup. The Commodores are 6-4 when using this lineup.
– Beal leads the team with 61 career starts, including 55 straight. Ogilvy made his 23rd start of the season and 56th of his career. Taylor made his 26th consecutive start, and Tinsley made his 24th consecutive start.

First Half Notes – Florida 40 Vanderbilt 23
– Florida’s 18 point margin was the second largest halftime deficit for Vanderbilt all season. The Gators held a 19-point lead at the half in Nashville on January 25 (56-37).
– After scoring their first bucket of the game on a Brad Tinsley jumper at the 19:28 mark, the Commodores did not score their next point until the 11:45 mark in the first half on an A.J. Ogilvy layup. Despite the almost eight minute drought, Vanderbilt only trailed 12-4.. Florida immediately responded with a 7-0 run to push the lead to 19-4.
– The Commodores were led by Ogilvy in the first half with 10 points. Brad Tinsley scored six points in the opening stanza.
– Vanderbilt shot 34.5% from the floor, compared to 61.5% for Florida.

Second Half Notes
– Vanderbilt cut the Florida lead to 14 (55-41) with 12:30 to go in regulation on two George Drake free throws. The Gators responded with an 8-0 run to push the lead back to 22.
– The Commodores fought back and cut the lead to 12 (72-60) with 3:05 to go in regulation. It was as close as Vanderbilt would get the rest of the way.

Post Game Notes
– Vanderbilt fell to 16-10 on the season and 5-7 in SEC play.- Florida swept the season series with the Commodores, and has now won eight consecutive games over the Commodores at the O’Connell Center.
– Vanderbilt outrebounded Florida, 31-27, in the game. The Commodores have outrebounded 20 of their 26 opponents this season, and in six of their losses in conference play.
– Florida shot 61.2% against Vanderbilt, the second time this season the Gators have cracked the 60% barrier. UF shot 60% against the Commodores in Nashville. There have been only three games this season in which Vanderbilt has allowed an opponent to shoot over 60% from the field – UIC also shot 63.2% against Vanderbilt on December 3.
– Vanderbilt outrebounded Florida, 13-3, on the offensive glass and attempted 11 more shots than the Gators (60-49). The Commodores outscored Florida, 14-4, on second chance points.
– The Commodores outscored Florida, 30-22, in points in the paint. Florida outscored Vanderbilt, 18-13, on points off of turnovers, 10-4 in fast break points, and 26-18 in bench points.
– The Commodores committed only 13 turnovers against Florida – Vanderbilt had averaged 20 turnovers in their last two games (at Tennessee, Kentucky).

Individual Notes
A.J. Ogilvy led Vanderbilt with 18 points, his 21St double digit game this season and 53rd of his career.
Brad Tinsley scored 12 points, the 18th game of his career with double figure points. He also led the team with four assists and three steals.
George Drake scored in double digits (10 points) for the first time since scoring a career high 18 points at South Carolina. It was his sixth double figure game this season and seventh of his career.
Jeffery Taylor led the team with seven rebounds.
