MG: Day Two Update at Bulls Bay

AWENDAW, S.C. — Vanderbilt dropped two spots to 14th on the second day of the Hootie at Bulls Bay.

Senior Luke List and junior Billy Whalen were both under-par for their first nine holes on Monday before dropping a total of nine strokes on their final five holes. All tolled, the Commodores — who teed off from the 10th Monday morning — carded only one birdie on holes No. 1-9.

The Commodores stand nine strokes out of the Top 10 in the field of 15 teams. Individually, List continues to pace Vanderbilt. The Ringgold, Ga., native stands in a four-way tie for 25th place.

UCF’s Greg Forest took sole possession of the individual lead Monday, and holds a four-shot advantage over Baylor’s Jeremy Frye. Forest’s Golden Knights also lead the team competition by four strokes. Wake Forest stands in second, one shot ahead of Florida State and Baylor. No other teams are under-par for the event.

The final round of the Hootie at Bulls Bay tees off at 8 a.m. ET, with the Commodores beginning on the 10th hole again on Tuesday.
