NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Sophomore midfielder Molly Kinsella was recently named an Academic All-District IV team member for her accomplishments inside the classroom.

The Memphis native has a 3.81 grade point average in the College of Arts and Sciences.

Kinsella, a first team All-Southeastern Conference selection, started in all 19 games and led the Commodores in scoring with eight goals and four assists. The goal total was tied for fourth most in the conference and was her career high.

She led the league in shots (84), shots per game (4.42), shots on goal (40) and shots on goal per game (2.11). Six of her goals came in league action, which was third best in the league.

“Molly’s work ethic inside the classroom and on the playing field is evident in the success she has had in both arenas,” said Vanderbilt head coach Ronnie Covelesklie. “She is a fantastic student and certainly the type of player we are building our soccer team around.”
