Dores Back Home at Currey Tennis Center

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After a tough weekend on the road, Vanderbilt men’s tennis returns to the Currey Tennis Center on Friday to face Kentucky at 4 p.m.
 
Last weekend, the Commodores suffered two SEC losses to ranked opponents. The Dores fell short to No. 2 Florida and No. 18 South Carolina, dropping the Dores’ conference record to 3-4.
 
Senior Cameron Klinger leads the Dores with a 14-10 singles record while competing on Court 1.
 
The Commodores return home boasting an 8-1 record at the Currey Tennis Center and are set to face a 9-10 Kentucky team.
 
The Wildcats are 3-4 in conference play and sport a 1-5 record on the road. Kentucky is currently riding a three-match losing streak with losses to No. 2 Florida, No. 18 South Carolina and No. 38 Arkansas.
 
Kentucky features two ranked players according to the Oracle ITA top-125 rankings. Senior Ryo Matsumura checks in at No. 36 in the nation followed by fellow senior Enzo Wallart closing out the rankings for the Cats at No. 118.
 
In last season’s matchup between the Wildcats and Commodores, the Cats outlasted the Dores, 4-1.
