Commodores Host Rice

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt men’s tennis is back at home Sunday to host Rice University at noon.
 
After sweeping last weekend’s doubleheader against Michigan State and Belmont, the Commodores enter the matchup with a strong 7-2 record set to face a 6-3 Rice team.
 
Coming off a 3-4 loss to Middle Tennessee State, Rice is currently 0-2 on the road.
 
Taking on the Owls at the Vanderbilt Currey Tennis Center, the Dores boast an undefeated 4-0 home record and have won their last four matches.
 
Standout freshman Macsen Sisam features an undefeated 5-0 record in dual matches entering Sunday’s match after defeating Michigan State’s Carson Gates, 6-3, 6-3 in last weekend’s doubleheader. Sisam also topped Belmont’s Zak Khan, 6-3, 7-6 (1).
 
Sunday’s matchup will mark the first meeting between Vanderbilt and Rice as the Dores look to remain undefeated at home.
