Commodores Entertain Doubleheader

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Newly top-25 ranked Vanderbilt men’s tennis looks to extend its five-match winning streak, hosting North Florida and Lipscomb in a doubleheader Friday.
 
The Commodores currently boast an 8-2 record, fresh off of a 6-1 win over Rice University.
 
Sporting a five-match winning streak, the Commodores hold a 5-0 record at home leading into Friday’s doubleheader.
 
Taking on North Florida in the first match of the day, the Dores will face a 4-4 North Florida team, which is fresh off of a 2-5 loss to Florida Gulf Coast University. Friday’s matchup between the Commodores and North Florida will mark the first-ever meeting between the two teams. The Ospreys are currently 0-3 on the road.
 
Facing a 4-4 Lipscomb team, the Dores look to extend their winning streak in taking on the Bisons at 4 p.m. following the conclusion of the North Florida match. Lipscomb currently holds a one-match winning streak and is 2-1 on the road with a loss to Louisville. 
 
Dores Make Debut in Top 25
 
The Vanderbilt men’s tennis team marked its spot in the Oracle/ITA Division 1 Men’s National Team Rankings coming in at No.25.
 
Making their season debut in the Oracle/ITA Division 1 Men’s Doubles Rankings, senior Cameron Klinger and junior Billy Rowe earned the No.52 spot in the nation.
 
The duo is currently 5-5 in the 2018-19 season and looks to improve its record this Friday.
