OXFORD, Miss. – The Vanderbilt women’s soccer team will play its final road contest of the 2011 regular season on Thursday, Oct. 20, traveling to face Ole Miss for a 7 p.m. CT matchup.

In a jumbled Southeastern Conference race, Vanderbilt and Ole Miss are among the teams fighting just to get into the 2011 Southeastern Conference Tournament, scheduled for the first week of November in Orange Beach, Ala. The Commodores are currently tied for 10th with six points, but stand just one point behind Mississippi State and Alabama for eighth. Only the league’s top eight teams play at the SEC Tournament.

A Cover It Live blog will be available for those unable to make this mid-week trip to Oxford. The blog will begin at approximately 6:45 p.m. CT.

Vanderbilt will return home following Thursday night’s game to play host to Mississippi State this Sunday, Oct. 23, at 2 p.m. CT. The Commodores’ regular season finale is scheduled for next Friday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. CT, when Kentucky visits the VU Soccer Complex for Vanderbilt’s Senior Night. Emily Grant, Elizabeth Lillie, Bridget Lohmuller and Candace West will be honored during a pre-game ceremony Friday.
