Klinger Named to 2019 All-SEC Team

Klinger collects fourth-consecutive SEC honor

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Southeastern Conference released its yearly awards Thursday afternoon and honored Commodore senior Cameron Klinger, who landed on the 2019 All-SEC second team.

This season’s All-SEC award marks Klinger’s fourth consecutive SEC yearly honor.

With NCAA play remaining, Klinger prepares to cap his illustrious career at Vanderbilt. In his last season as a Commodore, Klinger has earned 14 singles victories so far, including three over ranked opponents.

Checking in as the No. 87 player in the nation according to the Oracle ITA rankings, Klinger authored a five-match win streak this season and advanced to the Round of 16 in the ITA All-American Regionals and Championship this fall.

In doubles, Klinger paired with partner Billy Rowe to make their debut in the top-10 Oracle ITA rankings this season at No. 8. The duo boasts a 16-12 record and held a five-match win streak, recently upsetting the third-ranked Mississippi State duo, Nuno Bourhes and Strahinja Rakic, 6-4 in the quarterfinals of the SEC Championship.

Klinger looks to continue his success competing at the NCAA tournament beginning on May 3.
