Harbison Heading to Houston Too

Commodore guard has accepted invitation to State Farm College Team Skills & 3X3U Championships

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt’s Ciaja Harbison has been invited to compete in the State Farm College Team Skills & 3X3U Championships that will be held at the Bayou Music Center in Houston on March 29.

A new event this year, the State Farm College Team Skills and 3X3U Championships will feature a roster of graduating college seniors competing in a variety of competitions including team shootouts, skills relay and 3×3 basketball.

The competition will get underway at 6:30 p.m. and air on ESPN2 on April 2 at 9 p.m.

Named second-team All-SEC and a two-time league Player of the Week, Harbison averaged 19.6 points, 4.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per contest in 2022-23 in her only season with the Commodores. The guard currently ranks second in the SEC in scoring and steals while standing third in assists, ranking among the top 25 in the country in points per game and top 45 in steals per contest.

Harbison is the only individual in the SEC to score 40 or more points in a game this season, tying the school record after accomplishing the feat in a Jan. 29 win over Texas A&M. The graduate transfer finished the campaign with 24 outings scoring in double figures—including posting 30-plus points on three occasions—while leading Vandy in the category 16 times. She also paced the Dores in assists in 20 games and steals in 16 contests.
