NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt punter Nick Haberer has earned a spot on the Ray Guy Award Ray’s 8 for Week 6 for his performance at Alabama. The weekly recognition honors the nation’s top punting performances.
In the Commodores’ matchup at Alabama, Haberer punted three times for an average of 44.7 yards, including a long of 48. He pinned the Crimson Tide inside their own 20-yard line twice.
Out of Sunshine Coast, Australia, Haberer has continued to be a steady presence for the Commodores this season, ranking among the SEC leaders in both net yards per punt and punts inside the 20. His selection marks the second time in his career that he has been recognized by the Ray Guy Award committee’s weekly list.
Haberer and the Commodores return to action on Saturday, Oct. 18 hosting LSU.
