NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt women’s basketball has announced the addition of Kyndall Golden for the 2019-20 season.
Golden is a 6-foot-3 forward/post from Atlanta, Georgia.
“We are excited to welcome Kyndall to the Vanderbilt women’s basketball family,” said head coach Stephanie White. “Kyndall is a player that can really run the floor, finish down low, be a presence defensively and rebound the ball. She will give us some added depth at the post position.”
Golden played four years for New Manchester High School. During her junior campaign, she nearly averaged a double-double pulling down nine rebounds and 10.5 points per game. Golden averaged 8.3 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.2 assists her senior season.
“Vanderbilt gives me the best of both worlds,” said Golden. “Excelling as a student at a very prestigious school, as well as an athlete. After visiting the school, I knew that the mix of players, coaches and academia would be the best fit for me.”
Golden is an A/B Honor Roll member and expected to finish in the top 10% of her graduating class of 430.
“Kyndall Golden has all of the physical tools to be a threat in the middle inside the SEC,” said Brandon Clay of Peach State Basketball. “Her marked improvement over the past two seasons bodes well for her future in Nashviolle. Golden. Has a touch around the rim that few post players in the region can lay claim to.”
