Five Commodores Named WGCA All-American Scholars

Vandy student-athletes recognized for academic, athletic success

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Women’s Golf Coaches Association announced Tuesday its All-American Scholars with a total of 1,432 women’s collegiate golfers recognized with the prestigious honor.

Five Commodores – Celina Sattelkau, Louise Yu, Jayna Choi, Tess Davenport and Auston Kim – were all recognized after impressive seasons on and off the course.

The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.5.

The WGCA, founded in 1983, is a non-profit organization representing women’s collegiate golf coaches and was formed to encourage the playing of college golf for women in correlation with a general objective of education and in accordance with the highest tradition of intercollegiate competition. The WGCA represents more than 650 coaches throughout the United States and is dedicated to educating, promoting and recognizing both its members and the student-athletes they represent.
