Vanderbilt starter Drake Fellows has been named SEC Co-Pitcher of the Week following a dominant performance against No. 21 Missouri, the league office announced Monday.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt starter Drake Fellows has been named SEC Co-Pitcher of the Week following a dominant performance against No. 21 Missouri, the league office announced Monday.

Fellows recorded his SEC-best 10th victory and 20th career win Friday against the Tigers. He struck out an SEC-career best 11 batters and limited Missouri to a .167 average in seven frames while vaulting Vandy to its 13th straight win and 10th in SEC games, both the longest stretches since 2013.

The Plainfield, Illinois, native has fanned seven-plus batters in seven of his last 12 starts and has tossed five-plus innings in 11 of his last 12 starts. Fellows ranks second nationally and is first in the SEC for victories. He is also fourth in the league with 94 strikeouts.

The Commodores cap regular season home play on Tuesday, hosting Middle Tennessee. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. and can be seen on the SEC Network Plus. Fans can also listen on WNSR 560 AM/95.9 FM and through VUCommodores.com.
