Fall Ball on Deck

Vanderbilt begins training Tuesday at Hawkins Field

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt baseball program begins its “Road To Omaha” on Tuesday when the defending College World Series champions officially open fall training.

Full-squad training sessions open to the public will take place Tuesday-Friday at 3:45 p.m. Additional dates and scrimmage schedules will be posted on Twitter (@VandyBoys) on Monday each week. The program’s annual Black and Gold series is set for November 12-16.

The Commodores will use the NCAA mandated 45-day window to prep for what is expected to be another challenging schedule beginning in mid-February.

Vanderbilt welcomes 15 freshmen to a program looking to fill vacancies left by an SEC-record 13 Major League Draft selections. Seniors Harrison Ray and Ty Duvall are joined by first-team All-Americans Austin Martin and Kumar Rocker in headlining a strong returning corp.
