Dores to Compete in First-Ever NIT Championship

Tournament will be featured on Amazon Prime Video

NASHVILLE, Tenn.— Vanderbilt men’s tennis has been invited to play in the first-ever Universal Tennis National Invitational Tennis (NIT) Championship. The tournament will take place May 18-20 in Atlanta, Georgia. All matches will be featured on Amazon Prime Video, at no additional cost to Amazon Prime members.

The tournament will include eight men’s and eight women’s programs. The teams, selected by the NIT tournament committee, will have the opportunity to complete their season with a national championship.

The Commodores look to continue post-season play after falling in heartbreaking fashion to Texas A&M in the second round of the SEC tournament last month. Since then, however, the Dores have bounced back with Nathan Cox being named to the SEC All-Freshman team and Jeremie Casabon and Siim Troost being invited to the NCAA Doubles Championship.

Announcements about other tournament participants are ongoing. Information regarding Vanderbilt’s draw in the tournament will be announced next week.
