NASHVILLE, Tenn. – No. 35 Vanderbilt men’s tennis welcomes No. 37 LSU to the Currey Tennis Center Thursday at 2 p.m. followed by a battle on the road as the Dores head to College Station to face No. 8 Texas A&M on Saturday at 1 p.m. CT at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center.
Last Sunday, the Commodores suffered a close 4-3 loss to No. 46 Kentucky, falling to 3-5 in conference matches and 13-7 overall.
Riding a three-match losing streak, the Dores look to bounce back as they face the Tigers at home.
Vanderbilt features one singles player, senior Cameron Klinger, in the Oracle ITA top-100 singles rankings. Klinger jumped 12 spots from his previous ranking of No. 89 to earn a spot as the No. 77 singles player in the nation in this week’s Oracle ITA Rankings.
Klinger also earned a top-80 doubles ranking with partner Billy Rowe. The duo checked in at No. 75 in this week’s rankings.
On Friday, the Commodores will face a 14-7 LSU team currently 2-6 in SEC play.
In the last matchup with the Tigers, the Dores shutout LSU, 4-0, to advance to the third round of the 2018 SEC Tournament.
On Sunday, the Dores face a top-10 Texas A&M team that is currently riding a one-match losing streak after falling to No. 2 Florida.
The Aggies hold a 9-1 record at the George P. Mitchell Tennis Center and feature four student-athletes in the top-100 Oracle ITA singles rankings and one doubles pair in the top-20 rankings.
In the last battle between the SEC foes, Texas A&M clinched the match over the Dores, 4-3, at the Currey Tennis Center.
