NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The defending SEC champion Vanderbilt soccer team was selected to finish fourth in the annual SEC preseason poll, which is voted on by the conference’s 14 head coaches.
Arkansas and Texas A&M tied for the top spot in the poll with South Carolina checking in at No. 3.
Vanderbilt, ranked No. 18 in the United Soccer Coaches preseason poll, is one of five nationally ranked teams in the SEC.
With two exhibition games completed, the Commodores now turn their attention to the regular season opener set for 7 p.m. Aug. 19 versus Tennessee Tech at the Vanderbilt Soccer Complex.
