Dores Heading to Ohio State

Commodores will face Notre Dame in first round of NCAA Regionals

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt men’s tennis secured its spot in the NCAA Tournament and is set to face Notre Dame on Friday in Columbus, Ohio.

The Commodores will also be joined at top-seeded Ohio State’s regional by the host Buckeyes and Cleveland State.

Vanderbilt recently wrapped up the SEC Championship, concluding its stint in the quarterfinals by falling to eventual champion Mississippi State, 4-2, at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex in Gainesville, Florida.

The Commodores enter the tournament boasting a 15-11 overall record and will face a 17-14 Notre Dame team that recently fell to ACC champion Wake Forest, 4-3, in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament.

Last season, the Dores advanced to the NCAA Round of 32 where they fell to No. 9 Illinois, 4-0, after defeating Drake in the Round of 64, 4-2.
