Men's tennis kicks off the 2024-25 spring season tomorrow with matches against Alabama A&M and Tennessee Tech

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt men’s tennis is set to begin its spring season with a home doubleheader tomorrow against Alabama A&M and Tennessee Tech.

“We have a young team and are excited to get in the trenches with them, starting with Alabama A&M and Tennessee Tech tomorrow,” head coach Scott Brown said. “One thing that is for certain is that these young men bleed black and gold. They are going to leave their heart and souls out on the tennis court. Anchor Down!”

The Dores return to the court after last competing at the ITA Sectional Championships in November. They face Alabama A&M in the first match of the season opening doubleheader. The Bulldogs are 0-3 all-time against the Commodores in a series that began in 2022; all three matches have been shutouts. Vanderbilt then takes on Tennessee Tech in the second match of the doubleheader. The Golden Eagles enter the contest 0-2 after suffering 7-0 losses to No. 4 Wake Forest and No. 13 Tennessee. Tomorrow rounds out a three-match road trip for Tennessee Tech, who has their first home competition Jan. 24.
