CSCAA Recognizes Swim Team

Vanderbilt earned team Scholar All-America honors

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — In a challenging year, the Vanderbilt swimming team remained one of the top academic programs in the nation. The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced the Commodores earned Scholar All-America team honors Tuesday.

“Head Coach (Jeremy) Organ has been a mainstay in our scholar team rankings and this year is no different,” noted CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. “These are some of the best ambassadors of Vanderbilt and Athletic Director Candice Lee, Chancellor Daniel Diermeier, and Dr. Ann Price (Faculty Athletic Representative) can and should be proud of these women.”

Vanderbilt’s swimmers earned the honor after posting a collective GPA of 3.69 during the 2020-21 academic year. That ranked second among all SEC programs.

CSCAA will name its individual Scholar All-America team next week.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation’s first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
