CoSIDA Academic All-District for Rosca

It is Rosca's second time winning the award

NASHVILLE, Tenn – Vanderbilt University women’s tennis student-athlete Christina Rosca added to her growing resume by taking home CoSIDA Academic All-District At-Large distinction. 

Selected by CoSIDA, the Academic All-District teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. Honorees selected first-team Academic All-District will advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. Division I Academic All-America honorees will be announced on August 6.

Rosca, who graduated from Vanderbilt with a bachelor’s degree in neuroscience, was one of 12 selected from Division I institutions in district three – made up of colleges and universities in Tennessee, North Carolina and Virginia. The at-large category for women includes student-athletes who compete in tennis, beach volleyball, crew/rowing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming and water polo. 

It is the second-consecutive year Rosca has earned the award. During the 2019-20 academic year, the Princeton, New Jersey, native also earned Academic All-District and All-America accolades. 

One of the top collegiate players in the nation, Rosca posted an 18-6 singles record to go with a 17-7 doubles mark in her fifth year of competition as a student-athlete at Vanderbilt in 2020-21. She finished the season ranked No. 18 in the ITA singles poll.
