Christina Rosca earns Academic All-America honors for second straight year

NASHVILLE, Tenn – Vanderbilt University women’s tennis student-athlete Christina Rosca was named CoSIDA Academic All-America for the second straight year on Friday.

Selected by CoSIDA, the Academic All-America teams recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom.

Rosca earned second team distinction in the at-large category which includes student-athletes who compete in tennis, beach volleyball, crew/rowing, field hockey, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming and water polo. Rosca was a first-team honoree in 2020. 

One of the top collegiate players in the nation, Rosca posted an 18-6 singles record to go with a 17-7 doubles mark in her fifth year of competition as a student-athlete at Vanderbilt in 2020-21. She finished the season ranked No. 18 in the ITA singles poll and reached the NCAA quarterfinals in singles.
