NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Vanderbilt soccer student-athlete Quinn Cornog earned SEC Freshman of the Week, it was announced Friday by the conference office.
Cornog, a freshman from Dallas, Texas, is the first Commodore to take home an SEC weekly honor this season.
In the regular season finale on Oct. 28, Cornog netted the game winner in the 88th minute to help secure a 2-1 road victory over Georgia. It was her first career goal.
The Commodores finished tied for fifth in the SEC regular season standings and in second place in the SEC East division.
