Current players readying for Jones Cup, former players excelling on professional tours

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Current Commodores John Augenstein, Reid Davenport, William Moll and Harrison Ott will all compete at the Jones Cup Invitational, one of the nation’s premiere amateur tournaments, Jan. 31-Feb. 2 at the Ocean Forest Golf Club in Sea Island, Georgia.

The tournament will be the final tune up before the season begins for the Commodores on Feb. 15-16 at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Florida.

Vanderbilt has had success in the past at the Jones Cup. Former Commodore Luke List is a past champion at the event when he won the 2007 edition of the tournament.

Schwab Finishes Desert Swing on European Tour

Former Commodore Matthias Schwab will finish the desert swing of the European Tour this weekend at the Saudi International at the Royal Greens Golf & Country Club in King Abdullah Economic City, Saudi Arabia.

Schwab finished in a tie for 23rd in his last time out at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic.

Gordon Secures Korn Ferry Tour Finals Appearance

Will Gordon finished in a tie for 21st at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines and locked up his spot in this year’s Korn Ferry Tour Finals, which takes place later this year. Gordon also finished in a tie for 10th at the RSM Classic in November.

Waste Management Phoenix Open Up Next on PGA Tour

Commodores List and Brandt Snedeker will compete this weekend at the Waste Management Phoenix Open at TPC Scottsdale.
