Commodores Remain Out West

Vanderbilt to play in Desert Mountain Intercollegiate March 7-8

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – After a third-place finish at the Cabo Collegiate earlier this week, the Commodores will remain out west and tee it up at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate Saturday and Sunday at the par-72, 7,107-yard Desert Mountain Outlaw Course.

Vanderbilt will use their same lineup from the Cabo Collegiate, senior John Augenstein, junior Harrison Ott, sophomore Reid Davenport, and freshmen William Moll and Matthew Riedel, and add sophomore Michael Shears as an individual.

“This is a great opportunity we have this week to to carry some momentum we had in Cabo, continue growing, doing some little things more consistent, and embracing our climb,” said Vanderbilt head coach Scott Limbaugh. “The guys seem really excited and we are encouraged by some steps that are being taken by this group. We have to continue to hold ourselves and each other to the highest levels and if we do that we can be the team we want to be.”

Vanderbilt will be competing against Arkansas Little-Rock, Ball State, Lipscomb, Miami (Ohio), Michigan, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue, and Southern Illinois.

Action gets underway on Saturday with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. CT with 36 holes scheduled for the day. The final 18 holes will take place on Sunday morning.
