Commodores Conclude Spring Slate

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt soccer concludes its spring slate on Sunday against Kennesaw State at 1 p.m. CT at the Vanderbilt Track Field.

Sunday’s match wraps up Vanderbilt’s Alumni Weekend, which begins Saturday morning with an alumni 5v5 game mixed with current student-athletes.

The Commodores will hope to wrap up a perfect spring and add to five road wins against Alabama (3-2), Lipscomb (1-0), Memphis (2-1), Middle Tennessee (2-0) and Western Kentucky (3-0).

Vanderbilt’s most recent matchup against Alabama on April 7 mirrored its result over the Crimson Tide during the 2018 regular season. Kaylann Boyd, Kayla Eason and Haley Hopkins scored in the 3-2 victory.

Vanderbilt’s wins against MTSU and Lipscomb on March 30 earned the Dores the title of Music City College Cup Champions.

Madi Allen notched one of the goals vs. Middle Tennessee and Ellis added another on in the contest. Elwell was the lone goal scorer against Lipscomb.

Boyd scored once and Paola Ellis added two more goals in the shutout victory over Western Kentucky on March 23. In the win against Memphis on March 17, the Commodores saw Maddie Elwell and Hopkins score.

Sunday’s afternoon matchup against Kennesaw State is free admission.
