Commodores’ Cancun Challenge Competition

Vanderbilt will compete in the Riviera bracket which includes notable Power 5 and mid-major programs

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The field for the 2022 Women’s Cancun Challenge Nov. 24–26 has been unveiled. The Vanderbilt women’s basketball team is one of 10 teams set to compete in Cancun, Mexico.

The Commodores will be in the Riviera bracket with Central Michigan, North Carolina State, Northern Iowa, Tulane and West Virginia. Harvard, Florida State, Purdue and Oklahoma State are in the Mayan bracket.

The Cancun Challenge is in its 17th year and has a history of drawing notable Power 5 teams and impactful mid-major programs to compete.
