Brandon Wells joined the Vanderbilt sports medicine staff in 2018. He is responsible for managing the healthcare for the men’s basketball team.
Wells came to the Commodores following two years at the Utah State University and four years at the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee where he served as the athletic trainer for the men’s basketball teams. Wells also spent three years at Augustana University (Sioux Falls, SD) working with the football and men’s basketball programs and two years as a graduate assistant at Minnesota State University, Mankato. In 2006, Wells was a summer training camp intern for the Cleveland Browns.
Wells graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point in 2007, with a bachelor of science degree in athletic training and received his master of science in exercise physiology from Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2009.
A native of Arlington, Wisconsin, Wells is a Certified Athletic Trainer by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Wells and his wife, Shila, have a son, Zaiden, and daughters, Shealynn and Braylee. They reside in Murfreesboro.
