Assistant Strength Coach (Football)

Aaron Hill enters his fourth year as an assistant under head strength coach James Dobson.

A native of St. Charles, Mo., Hill assists Dobson and his staff with all aspects of the Vanderbilt football program, including in-season and off-season training.

Hill joined Vanderbilt after serving a strength and conditioning internship with the Carolina Panthers of the National Football League. Previously, he worked in a similar internship for the University of Minnesota football program during the 2014 regular season.

Hill was a linebacker and captain at Minnesota, contributing 192 career tackles, five forced fumbles and four interceptions during a 47-game career. He was a two-time recipient of Minnesota’s Butch Nash Award for competitiveness on and off the field.

Hill completed a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology-sports science from Minnesota in 2013. He earned a Masters of Education in applied kinesiology-sport and execise science from Minnesota the following year.

Professionally, Hill is certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.

Hill and the former Lexi Williams were married in May 2018.
