SEC Media Days: Coach Mason Press Conference
HOOVER, Ala. – Vanderbilt sixth-year head coach Derek Mason and All-America candidates Kalija Lipscomb, Jared Pinkney and Ke’Shawn Vaughn took center stage at SEC Media Days on Thursday morning from the Hyatt Regency Birmingham – The Wynfrey Hotel.
Mason and the program’s student-athlete trio discussed opportunities ahead, the season opener against Georgia and competition at quarterback among countless conversations.
“Fall camp and the season will be here soon and the relentless, tough and intelligent marathon continues,” Mason said. “Personally I’m looking forward to the start of preseason camp because this is the deepest squad I’ve had in my six years at Vanderbilt. I expect to see competition across the board as we start fall camp.”
