Vanderbilt set to face Auburn, Alabama

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Vanderbilt men’s tennis team is on the road to Alabama to face Auburn on Friday followed by Alabama on Sunday.

Looking to pick up its first SEC win, Vanderbilt heads to Tiger Town with a 6-5 record and is 0-2 in conference play. No. 45 Vandy enters Friday’s match after falling 6-1 to No. 13 Texas A&M on Sunday.

Starting off its weekend on the road, Vanderbilt will face a 9-8 Auburn team. The Tigers are 7-1 at home and 0-2 in SEC play after falling to No. 6 Florida on the road 7-0.

Last season, Vanderbilt downed Auburn 6-1 at the Currey Tennis Center.

On Sunday, the Dores will travel to Tuscaloosa to take on No. 17 Alabama at the Alabama Tennis Stadium. Alabama sports a 10-4 overall record and is an even 1-1 in conference play.

In their last time out, the Tide defeated No. 23 South Carolina 4-3 on the road.
