Baker Joins Recruiting Staff

Program Welcomes New On-Campus Recruiting Coordinator

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt head football coach Clark Lea announced Monday the addition of Bella Baker as the Commodores’ on-campus recruiting coordinator.

Baker transitions to the football staff after working the past two years with Vanderbilt’s National Commodore Club as a development and alumni relations assistant. With the National Commodore Club, Baker was the primary facilitator of requests, customer service questions and gifts being made to Vanderbilt Athletics. She also managed the day-to-day operations of the athletic development officers.

Prior to arriving in Nashville, Baker was a graduate assistant at Alabama, working with its football program in the recruiting and operations areas. During the 2018 and 2019 seasons, she was responsible for all home game recruiting registration activities and supervised 12 undergraduate student assistants.

Her daily responsibilities with Alabama included being the primary point of contact for player families for the annual team banquet, giving VIP tours on behalf of coaches and staff, serving as the liaison between operations, recruiting and coaching staff personnel and ensuring recruiting mailers were sent in a timely manner.

As an undergraduate student at Alabama, Baker served as a recruiting and operations assistant, aiding with recruitment and camper registration and working closely with defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi.

Baker, who graduated cum laude with honors, received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Alabama in 2018, and her master’s in sports business management from Alabama in 2019.
