SEC Announces 2022 Community Service Team

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Vanderbilt student-athlete Jack Anderson was named to the 2022 SEC Baseball Community Service Team, announced by the conference office Wednesday.

Since arriving at Vanderbilt, Anderson has made an immediate impact in the community.

The right-handed pitcher has dedicated his time to numerous causes, including serving as a volunteer with Nashville non-profit Last Minute Toy Store.

The organization provides parents the opportunity to select gifts for their children during the holiday season. There, Anderson assisted in a variety of roles, including aiding shoppers in selecting gifts for their children and maintaining inventory and presentation of items.

This season, Anderson has appeared in 12 games on the mound, totaling 10.0 innings of work. He has struck out 18 batters on the year.

The conference names a Community Service Team for each of its 21 league-sponsored sports, looking to highlight an athlete from each school who gives back to his community through superior service efforts.
