NASHVILLE – The Vanderbilt men’s basketball team was honored for its performance in the classroom by earning the NABC Team Academic Award. In addition to the team award, student-athletes Rodney Chatman, Liam Robbins, Drew Weikert and Jordan Wright received NABC Honor Court recognition.
The NABC Team Academic Excellence Awards recognize men’s basketball programs that completed the 2021-22 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.
The NABC Honors Court includes junior, senior and graduate student men’s basketball student-athletes who finished the 2021-22 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
Vanderbilt is one of three SEC programs to receive the Team Academic Excellence Award this season. Vandy’s four individual selections are tied for the most in the SEC and tied for eighth nationally among Power 5 programs.
